Reaching all Generations for Jesus Christ

The Senior Adult Ministry exists here at First Baptist New Braunfels for the purpose of reaching this strategic age group for Jesus Christ. This desire manifests itself through Bible study, prayer opportunities, music involvement, fellowship, chances to serve others, and to develop a heart to be a lighthouse that proclaims the message of our Savior across this community. The challenge always before us is to engage this vital segment of our society with the powerful Gospel of God’s only Son. The spirit of this ministry is to fall deeper in love with Jesus Christ, and to allow Him to be the difference that He wants to be for all of us.

Our Senior Adult Choir, the SonShine Singers, is a large group of people who love to sing the Lord's praises. We have had the opportunity to do so at several Senior Adult Conferences, including Glorietta (New Mexico), and in Belton and Palacios (Texas). We rehearse for one hour on Tuesday mornings (September-May) at 10:00 in Rushing Hall, and we'd love for you to join us, no matter your level of experience, in singing God's praises with joy and love!

Musicians, remember how much fun you had playing in band or orchestra? Come enjoy that fun again with this small group! We join the Sunday worship team in the Sanctuary once a month or so and hope to add more strings in the future. We rehearse Monday mornings (September-May) in Rushing Hall from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Our last rehearsal before summer break will be May 22nd. For more information, please contact Tom Wideman at .

Ladies meet on the second Tuesday of each month for some game time and fellowship from 1:30-3:30 PM in Room 120. Feel free to invite a friend, bring your favorite game, or bring a snack to share if you'd like. Or just bring yourself and have some fun! For more info, please contact Jackie Morrison at 830-302-6360.

First Thursday of every month (September-May) for men ages 55+, from 7:00-8:00 AM in Room 125. We'll serve biscuits, sausage, gravy, and eggs. Invite a friend! If you're available to help with food prep, room setup, or cleanup, please contact Jim Fielder at  to join the team.

42 is a domino game that is played like a card game with a twist. You'll enjoy a good game and fellowship. We typically meet the fourth Friday of each month, with a few exceptions, from 5:15-8:30 PM in Room 120. Please contact June Long at 830-237-7692 or   so she can organize an even number of players.

Beginners are always welcome and will be taught to play at a beginner's table!
