The charming multi-generational family of First Baptist is personal, caring, and generous. We roll up our sleeves when help is needed and show up as ourselves. Whether the moment calls for tears, prayer, celebration, or jokes, we are all in. We are deeply committed in our worship and adoration of God and our care for one another. We are for each other and for our community. We act in careful, thoughtful ways that are firmly rooted in biblical truth, spotlighting God’s work and exalting Him as the giver of all good things.
We exist to glorify God and lead people to Jesus. In our children and student ministries, as in all ministries, we create both peer-specific and multi-generational opportunities to cultivate rich, vibrant community and deep, transformative discipleship.
Our current pastoral staff includes: Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Family Pastor, Worship Pastor, and Senior Adult Pastor. We currently have around 35 junior high and high school students, as well as six college/career believers, attending weekly. They meet at 9:30 Sunday mornings. 7th-12th graders also meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 and have enjoyed annual DNow weekends, summer camps, mission trips, and retreats over the years. They love deep study of God’s word and fellowshipping with one another, as well as serving their church and community.
About New Braunfels
New Braunfels, Texas is a growing yet quaint city located between San Antonio and Austin in the Texas Hill Country. Boutiques, cafes, and great restaurants line our tree-shaded streets. We have mild winters, proximity to water activities during hot summers, and an average of over 225 days of sunshine per year.
Our two rivers offer activities, fun, and relaxation for the entire family. The Guadalupe River isn't just fun to float in the summer, it's a year-round lure for avid and amateur anglers. The Comal River, called the "longest shortest river in the world" by locals, is a beautiful sight to behold.
Founded in 1845 by a German Prince, New Braunfels has no shortage of fascinating history and beautiful Texas-German architecture. Generations of families have made it a tradition to vacation and move to New Braunfels year after year. From fall & winter festivals, spring wildflowers, summer tubing, and stunning natural beauty, New Braunfels is a wonderful place to live! And as the fast-growing region in the U.S., it is brimming with ministry and mission opportunities!
