Worship services at First Baptist are planned to be authentic in content, driven by truth revealed through scripture, and focused on bringing people into a face-to-face encounter with the Living God. Style and form may move with the times but the anchoring concept driving corporate worship will always center on true worshippers touching eternity driven by Spirit and Truth.

In any given week, the face of worship may take many forms as we seek to speak truth to multiple generations, yet we stand unified in our belief that our God, who is worshipped across the globe in languages and styles we may never understand, will not be defined or limited.

We believe the same God who takes the time to create unique individuals also desires to be uniquely and creatively worshiped. The face of worship at First Baptist is as unique as the faces of the individuals He created.

Our 10:45 service is led by a combination of choir and praise band with a mixture of traditional and contemporary hymns.

There is a unique, God-inspired and created place for you to worship at First Baptist Church. We encourage you to come, discover, grow and touch eternity as we worship together.

Sanctuary Choir
Rehearsing each Wednesday evening at 7:00, the Sanctuary Choir teams up with the praise band to lead worship on Sunday mornings. Under the direction of Worship Pastor, James Passman, the choir performs a wide variety of music to include hymn arrangements, choral classics, and adaptations of modern worship choruses.

The Sanctuary Choir is a non-auditioned group open to all who want to come and sing.  A love for the Lord and a love for music are the only two preconditions for membership. For more information, please contact Pastor James at james@fbcnb.org or 830-625-9124.

Spring Music & Worship Retreat

March 22 and 23
Friday, March 22, 6:00-8:30 PM and
Saturday, March 23, 8:30-11:30 AM
Rushing Hall

To kick off the Easter rehearsal season this year, Pastor James has organized an exciting and inspirational retreat. Whether you've served in the worship ministry for years, you've just joined, or you've been thinking about it, please join us Friday and Saturday, March 22nd and 23rd. We'll have fun together, get to know one another better, be encouraged, and work on some great music for Palm Sunday and Easter.

Make an impact for Christ on Easter or Palm Sunday by singing, playing an instrument, or helping with media.
Friday night, enjoy fellowship, creative games like piñata, a tasty Mexican dinner, and an encouraging word from Dr. Doran Bugg of First Baptist Church in Dallas.

Be back Saturday morning for coffee, donuts, worship, and rehearsal for Easter Sunday morning and Palm Sunday evening services.
Please sign up at the Welcome Center in the Sanctuary foyer.

Childcare is available at Kids Night Out on Friday and also on Saturday. Please sign up for childcare in the foyer as well.
If you have any questions, please contact Pastor James Passman at james@fbcnb.org or 830-625-9124.
